The material we use to make our fire pits.

We use a UHPC concrete mix for your outdoor fire pits, which is perfect for outdoor fire pits. The material is weather-resistant and won’t crack or shrink in the elements. It’s also UV-resistant. We seal our concrete with a sealer that penetrates deep into the concrete and changes the density of the concrete and it gets harder with time. We also add a special topcoat for an extra layer of protection. We make all of our moulds, depending on the complexity, either out of MDF, rubber or fibreglass. The mould-making is what takes the time and is the most expensive part of the manufacturing process. Because we use UHPC concrete we can pour much thinner pieces than standard concrete would allow. This makes the gas fire pit table less heavy than if made from normal concrete i.e. cement with added aggregates purchased from the builders merchants.  Consequently, we can pour much thinner pieces without compromising on strength.

The different types of fuel.

Here at Gecko we make fire pits for burners that use  LPG, Natural gas and Bio Ethanol. But there are a few different types.

Propane (LPG):

Benefits:
Convenience: Propane fire pits are easy to ignite with a push-button start.
Clean Burning: They produce no smoke or ashes, making them environmentally friendly.
Adjustable Flames: You can control the flame size and intensity.
Drawbacks:

Natural Gas:
